Junior Singers
(grades 6-8)
$450 per year
($45 per month for 10 months)
Ask about our family discount for more than two children.
Auditions are required to register for Heaven Sent Choirs. The audition is simply an opportunity for Mr. Fleming to hear your child: to assess specific part placement and overall ability. Call to schedule your audition time. There will also be opportunities to audition for special groups and solos throughout the semesters. For additional fees, there are also opportunities to audition for the TMEA Region 9 Junior High Region Choir.
We regularly meet on Mondays at the Free-Will Baptist Church on Veteran’s Memorial (just south of the North Sam Houston Parkway). Junior Singers rehearsal time is from: 11:05 a.m.—12:30 p.m.
Uniforms Required:
Boys Uniform: Approximately $60 (purchased through Al's Formal Wear)
Girls Dresses: Approximately $100
Additional Costs :
Music fee $20 per semester
Choir Polo shirt (One time fee) $20 per student
Choir Tee shirts (Optional) $12 per student
Choir Camp fee (Optional) $80 per student
We require only that the children be in attendance at the weekly rehearsals, the Christmas and spring concerts and the designated ministry days (one day in each semester). Children will be asked to memorize lyrics and to practice parts outside of rehearsals as necessary. We encourage participation in all activities of the choir;
however, other events and opportunities to sing are optional.
CHOIR CAMP August 19-20:
We will also host a Choir Camp to begin our season. Junior Singers Camp will be August 19-20 at the Trinity Pines Conference Center in Trinity, TX. Cost is $80. As with all of our choir events, Parents are always welcome. This camp gives each student an excellent opportunity to get an advance work-out on vocal techniques, and a jump start on their music; meet fellow students and the directors; as well as some of the staff (we’ll have plenty of food and games, too!). So, come join the fun!
